We are looking for an experienced, reliable and self-driven Debt Collector to join our young company!
Your main duty will be to contact debtors arrange for the payment of their debt.
Capital Debt Collection is a young company (with a huge client database) therefore we are looking for a person who has debt collection (call-centre) experience and is able to work on their own and take initiative.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan course of action to recover owed money
- Locate and contact debtors
- Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans
- Handle customers’ questions or complaints
- Identify gaps in the system and recommend solutions
- Build trust with debtors
- Update account status and database regularly
- Comply with and understand all legislation relating to debt collection in South Africa
Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience as a debt collector in a Debt Collection Agency or law firm
- Experience working with targets and tight deadlines
- Knowledge of relevant legal debt collection requirements
- Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
- Swordfish Software experience is beneficial
- High school (Matric) completed (with exemption is advantageous)
