Manage production’s compliance with pharmaceutical and other appropriate legislation, as well quality standards within targeted costs, working capital, and service levels to meet business needs.
This will be a contract position. The successful candidate will be required to work in the following hours (3 – 4 hours per day):
Responsibilities
- Manage compliance of the production facility to ensure adherence to cGMP, HACCAP, and other relevant standards
- Ensure proper supervision of relevant products, in accordance with South African medicine legislation
- Manage and perform line opening and closing procedures
- Act as responsible Pharmacist when required
- Update and approve manufacturing and packaging masters as needed and draft, approve or verify QMSs documents
- Enforce adherence to these standards
- Initiate and lead appropriate investigation and recording of relevant data with regards to process deviations and customer complaints
- Conduct internal audits on a scheduled basis
- Support the development of quality and compliance skills in the production area
- Ensure that staff are trained, equipped, and motivated through effective staff management processes.
Candidate Requirements
- BPharm Degree
- Production Management or related qualification is desired
- Registration at Pharmacy Council
- Previous experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving & stress tolerance skills
- High quality & safety focus.
