Manage production’s compliance with pharmaceutical and other appropriate legislation, as well quality standards within targeted costs, working capital, and service levels to meet business needs.

This will be a contract position. The successful candidate will be required to work in the following hours (3 – 4 hours per day):

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance of the production facility to ensure adherence to cGMP, HACCAP, and other relevant standards
• Ensure proper supervision of relevant products, in accordance with South African medicine legislation
• Manage and perform line opening and closing procedures
• Act as responsible Pharmacist when required
• Update and approve manufacturing and packaging masters as needed and draft, approve or verify QMSs documents
• Enforce adherence to these standards
• Initiate and lead appropriate investigation and recording of relevant data with regards to process deviations and customer complaints
• Conduct internal audits on a scheduled basis
• Support the development of quality and compliance skills in the production area
• Ensure that staff are trained, equipped, and motivated through effective staff management processes.

Candidate Requirements

• BPharm Degree
• Production Management or related qualification is desired
• Registration at Pharmacy Council
• Previous experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving & stress tolerance skills
• High quality & safety focus.
