Duties and responsibilities
- Perform Line Opening and Line Clearance as per production documentation.
- Perform, review and approve line sign-on’s, closures and clearance authorisations.
- Ensure that the quality of product produced complies to company standards.
- Manufacture product as per standard operating procedures and in line with the production documents.
- Carry out any product quality tasks.
- Inform and report all quality problems.
- Oversee Production, Formulation, Packaging and Labeling of Pharmaceutical products.
- Perform Document Reconciliation at the end of the batch.
- Perform and review shift GMP checks, environmental checks, and agent expiry dates, and ensure continued compliance.
- Verify good document practice as per SOP and regulation.
- Monitor manufacturing compliance to GMP and statutory requirements.
- Ensure that the quality of product produced complies to the company standards.
- Monitor adherence to guidelines, procedures, and document controls.
- Related administrative tasks.
- Verify, review and approve verification of measuring equipment performance, calibrations and sampling, and dispensing of materials Line & production processing.
- Perform, review, and approve batch reconciliations to product specifications and quality.
- Ensure production process adherence to standards and specifications process and system improvements.
- Report process or equipment problems to your supervisor.
- Accurately and completely record all required information on the batch records.
- Responsible for cleaning and housekeeping of the packing rooms and equipment, as well as
- maintaining cleaning logs.
- Responsible for constant communication with the Production Operators to determine needs.
- Follow cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) rules while performing daily functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification.
- Matric (Matriculants with Maths & Computer Literacy)
- Experience in Manufacturing/Pharmaceutical environment
- Able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (hair net, beard net (if needed), gloves, etc.) where required.
- Follow and understand standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch manufacturing instructions related to the packing processes.
